  • Disposable car seat covers like mechanics use? Not super friendly to the environment but better than nothing

  • Aerosol disinfectant would be fine on car upholstery... I've a can of the Dettol stuff in the car now.

  • Boom! And yes - v bad if not recycled

  • Ah, the ethics of using single use plastics for PPE in a pandemic. Much scope for debate there.

  • I've seen taxi drivers in Belfast with proper plastic covers that are durable. I guess they for are for "over-refreshed passenger" Friday night runs, but those things last.

Not 100% sure where you can get them, but maybe if I ring a local depot and ask they will tell me.

  • Boom! And yes - v bad if not recycled

Yes - v bad if not recycled.
    Slightly less bad if recycled.

  • Either ate so many salt and vinegar crisps last night that I've lost my sense of taste. Or I have Covid.

  • Anecdotally, my cardiac surgeon neighbour told me that he is on red alert due to the risk of covid on cardiac patients, and also their expectation of patients needing urgent hospitalisation post covid recovery due to cardiac incidents, at a time when ICU beds may be in short supply.

What is the percentage of 81 year olds who have hypertension? Has got to be pretty high.

  • Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage)

Sage advice, that can't be a coincidence.

  • Try pickled onion monster munch. If you can’t taste that, then you’ve got issues.

  • I actually think it's the acid from the vinegar that's burnt away my tastebuds. Mouth feels distinctly scorched...

Could murder a packet of monster munch now anyway!

  • I also lost my sense of taste the other day after these:

  • What do people with butlers / house staff do in these lockdownesque times?
How come some people doing media things have incredibly advanced, almost studio quality TV camera setups to broadcast with from their home?

Both serious questions inspired by Prince Charles' video today.

  • I actually think it's the acid from the vinegar that's burnt away my tastebuds. Mouth feels distinctly scorched...

    Co-op Irresistible Salt & Vinegar? They're nuclear!

  • Take care out there...

Alastair Brown, Plastic Surgeon at Ulster Hospital, Belfast noted that injuries relating to power tools, lawnmowers and even bicycle maintenance were among those being dealt with, adding that treating individuals for such injuries – which has included amputations – is putting pressure on the healthcare service.

  • How come some people doing media things have incredibly advanced, almost studio quality TV camera setups to broadcast with from their home?

I imagine a decent camera + tripod setup is pretty cheap and accessible these days and can easily be bought online.

  • Live-in staff will count as part of the 'household'.

    I imagine.

  • bicycle maintenance ... which has included amputations

Doing it really wrong if that happens.

(The one bit of plastic surgery I had was due to cooking.)

  • Yes! Really moreish at the time when a few beers deep but regretting it now.

  • Doing it really wrong if that happens.

Dunno, the old ‘finger getting trapped between the sprocket and chain’ on a sweet fixie can be pretty savage. Don’t google it.

  • If only 20% of the people tested are coming back positive, what symptoms have the other 80% got that gives rise to the test?
Edit to add...Ne'er mind found it. There are a lot of ill people around.

3.1 Patients who meet the following criteria (inpatient definition)
requiring admission to hospital (a hospital practitioner has decided that admission to hospital is required with an expectation that the patient will need to stay at least one night)
    and
have either clinical or radiological evidence of pneumonia
    or
    acute respiratory distress syndrome
    or
influenza like illness (fever ≥37.8°C and at least one of the following respiratory symptoms, which must be of acute onset: persistent cough (with or without sputum), hoarseness, nasal discharge or congestion, shortness of breath, sore throat, wheezing, sneezing
Note: Clinicians should consider testing inpatients with new respiratory symptoms or fever without another cause or worsening of a pre-existing respiratory condition.

  • That's interesting as 101 calls are also down by 25% percent per the PSNI. Maybe we have a lot of clumsy gardeners up here?

Some total arses were out doing donuts in our street last night a 4 AM, we found a smashed up car in the street. Hopefully they aren't taking up NHStime.

  • Masturbation will not spread coronavirus

    Good to know.

    Forum T Shirt anyone?
