Still hope he locked himself in for weeks as they should have...that's not clear.
If he went out / there already is a shortage of beds in that area then he's been very irresponsible.

Aside from the extra responsibility he has because of his job, he risked becoming another emergency patient clogging up a stressed health system. It was a childish and selfish action.
