In France the number of deaths caused by Covid-19 is likely higher than the official figure, as the figures include only those deaths recorded in hospitals, and not those recorded in nursing homes.

"These ARS figures only list deaths in hospital. Deaths in nursing homes or at home are not included."
As noted in Le Monde, the official death toll today is at 2,606, but this still only counts deaths recorded in hospitals.

Sure, this makes sense as without testing is not possible to determine if it was covid19 or not.
