At least on Steam you can get a refund if you've played for less than 2 hours. On the Switch I'll be buying digital only for sales (Phantom Doctrine for £1.50 or something ridiculous last week) or games I already own (though took a gamble with Two Point Hospital, the PC port is badly optimised enough, thankfully the Swith one isn't too bad)
