  • Christine and the Queens - pre-recorded live session on 6Music right now

  • Listened to DJ Yoda live set on 6music, it was from the 6music festival I think, not bad music for cooking in these strange times

  • This could good, 9th April

    9pm start I'd guess?

  • P.s. it was an honour & a privilege that the mighty GC played one of my requests on his show last night.

  • Mary Anne Hobbs had a set from Derrick Carter yesterday (Friday) that was so so good.

  • I’ve listened to Mary Ann Hobbs a few times... first time she played Bad Brains and second time Deftones... can’t be all bad right?

  • Mary Anne Hobbs had a set from Derrick Carter yesterday (Friday) that was so so good.

    There's my breakfast soundtrack sorted

  • Has Marc Riley managed to do one show the last 2 months without namedropping warmduscher?

Radio 6 is always on here, except for Saturday mornings. I can't stand the crisps eating bit, but I hear some people say that is their favourite part of the week?

  • Just switching from local radio to this mornings crisp slot ha !

  • Since RadMac got demoted from their pm slot to the graveyard Breakfast slot*, I've assumed they have given up. The 'Crisps on the Radio' is two seasoned broadcasters testing what they can get away with before being pensioned off. Sad for old people like me, as RadMac are almost the last djs for my generation.
Still Mark Radcliffe will leave the Salford Media centre for the last time with his head held high having been sacked from two BBC Radio breakfast slots.

    • Not in the same league of criminal negligence as when the Contoller of Radio 1 pushed John Peel into a midnight to 2am slot.
  • The 'Crisps on the Radio' is two seasoned broadcasters testing what they can get away with before being pensioned off.

It is almost as good as "One Man and his Frog" from the Mark & Lard Radio 1 days.

  • Is it permissible to use John Peel's quote about The Fall?
    'Always different, always the same'.

  • +1 Will be replaying that soon.

  • Works for me!

  • Extra hour for Gilles Peterson though... I'm here for that.

And Liz Kershaw can get in the fucking bin

  • Yeah Brexity Auntie Liz is unlistenable

  • On right now, kind of hate the sound of the crisps being eaten.

  • Missed it. What flavours?

  • We’ve been listening t’radio much more (natch) and my wife just got Mary Anne Hobbs to a T:

“She sounds like she’d thank you if you punched her.”

  • Thats truly amazing and very special moment.

  • You know those stock photos of a woman in a gym top eating a salad or a yoghurt? That’s MAH’s voice, that is.

  • Sabres of Paradise playing at the moment... so good!
