DEFRA / Environment Agency have been funding LiDAR to help with Flood Alleviation planning.
The most recent data we have for the Pinn Valley and Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve has a 'resolution(?)' of 25cms. Previous I think was 1m.
Could be funding that was allocated and has to be spent this financial year?

Also, updating aerial photography or something else?

It's Ravenair owned, they do aerial surveys. Why they do the surveys they do over the areas they do though  🤷🏼‍♂️
