Go for it, won't break the bank if it goes bad & you need to replace it.

This type of thing

It's not going to be used for any length of time, so I'm not concerned about hots spots -

Certainly should help with grip, trypophobics beware though!

Secateurs - any recommendations? The Niwaki look decent, as do the Opinel, but I'm leaning towards Felco as they make such good cutting tools otherwise.

Felco for expensive, Bahco excellent for cheap, I use them continually as an alleged professional.

I have some fiskar ones, as they were what the DIY store had and came with a sharpening kit, oil and file.
Bahco tools are very nice and have a utility knife, which was a rebranded mora but cheaper.

Sound - figured for actual regular use the Felco would come out tops. The Japanese ones look great, but I wonder how good they'll feel in the hand when you're using them a lot.

Have found that if the knife is too nice I keep it for best and never use it.
But in these times maybe a decent fillet and boning knife is good as I noted what was left on the shelves. But as you say, not porn.

You need the Nomad kit.
Serrated no 12, folding peeler, no 10 with corkscrew. -
• #2921
I really want that bread knife, but the rest of the kit is useless to me (I already have the corkscrew). Tempted to try a mod on a 10 or 12.
-
• #2922
Pretty sure the only way to get the bread knife is by buying the kit!

I know, but I don't want the peeler or the chopping board or the corkscrew. I was thinking of buying a No. 12 and doing something like:

Opinel off then.
Edit : Am jealous of the mushroom knife, pruning knife and the survival knife
They look CNC'd to me but I'm no expert either...
