I heard that they are now considering rationing romance and banning sexy times. Only extra-marital affairs will be permitted in cases of dire need to be evaluated by the state on a case by case basis.
It's over France. It's over.

No they didn't. One préfet banned alcohol sales (to be consumed off the premises) then backtracked 24h later.
Not the same thing is it?

The Daily Telegraph had instructions on washing your sex toys during the lockdown.

Just had a call from a client who is a very large distilling group. Asking about a project as they’re still open and producing whisky.
This can not be essential work surely?!

Well, in times of strife, people still need drugs.

That’s my next question.
Wonder how drug dealers are fairing through the lockdown. Business will be booming due to boredom but distribution is a bigger risk.
Maybe this belongs in the capitalism thread.

Our future selves in six years time will thank us for allowing production to continue in this difficult time :)

Nothing yet as far as I'm aware.
-

Thinking the 3 weeks was just to ease us into it - surely likely to last for a couple of months?

Businesses aren't shut down to essential ones only yet. eg online retailers are still going, so pickers and packers are still needed to keep them running. Manufacturers, call centres etc - it's only hospitality and some retail that has been shutdown.
I don't think that's what she meant when she said you never buy her flowers
