• Thanks for this thead but none of this is do-able unless you want to watch on your own without your non-cycling wife, are not already sick, pay for special tv, already have stuff, or like anime or dnb. What I’m looking for ideally is something like ‘parks and rec’, free to watch and easy to access - the entertainment version of mashed potato

  • Torrent sites might help?

  • Excellent distraction TS
    Cheers 🍺🍻

  • Ha! watched point break on iplayer then had mashed potato for my tea, true fact!

  • Inside number 9 is on iPlayer

  • Progress. I can hook up the DDJ-200 as a line-in on a mixer channel, then use the mixer rec-out as normal, monitoring via the existing audio set up. I need to tweak some settings, but have just done this POC.

The greater issue is that it means mixing/recording upstairs at night (3 year old asleep), or when I'm unlikely to be interrupted for an hour (never). I will not be defeated, though.

From messing around with the DDJ more the past week, mixing with it and the djay software is becoming second nature and is a lot of fun, not to mention the access to all the records on Spotify.

  • Disney Plus drops and work send home. Winner

  • The Platform. What a f-ing jip, I want my time back.... to.... erm..... do something else

  • Oh dear. I was considering watching that. Looked quite interesting from the trailer.

  • Had its moments, interesting premise, gets a bit dumb for me

  • I watched that last night. It was ok, felt like a poor man's Highrise.

  • Any suggestions for games I can play on my laptop? i7 and Quadro 1000 something so relatively powerful but not very gaming oriented. Only have a small mouse and no external keyboard, perhaps something city-sim like? Haven't gamed in years, but I'm bored out of my mind in Saxony's lockdown.

  • Haven't read all the thread so apologies if it has already been listed but 'Sick of it' with Karl Pilkington is worth a watch. Two series worth.

  • Excellent distraction TS

    Cheers 🍺🍻

Seconded, got to page seven this session.

  • Cities: Skylines, Banished, Stardew Valley, Frozen Synapse are all great

  • Also made me think of Cube. Might have to dig that out

  • I am thoroughly enjoying radio.garden - interactive map of all the radio stations online across the world. Am currently wigging out to the excellent Balla radio from Yaounde in Cameroon.
    Superb.

  • Cities: Skylines

@Tijmen - i was also going to suggest this.

You can also enjoy this guy's videos - very dry, but becomes very funny and enjoyable:

  • 370 burpees yesterday. Decided today is no burpee day.

  • radio.garden

    Seriously good.

  • I used to love that film.
I think it's on Amazon Prime if you have that.
I know the sequels are (also not worth it)

  • Sounds good to me 😁 good work

  • Radio Four's In Our Time podcast episodes are a nice way to waste some time if you like Philosophy / History discussions.

  • I'd forgotten about radio Garden I got hooked on that esp African stations it's great. Will get back on that.
it reminded me of the joybi had as kid just scanning long wave medium wave and fm just to see what was out there.
    On some thing like this.
