Mm. They're fairly open about how they'll export data to the US in time, and about how the protections are less stringent over there. I'm no expert but it wouldn't be surprising to have companies jump on this opportunity for free data. Doesn't seem like that's what's happening here though.

Is mayor khan getting stitched up or is he being a knob over the tube?

Anyone listening to PMQs? Is this a typo? "He [Johnson] says the government is massively increasing its effort, going up to 250,000 tests a day."

Yeah first one, my wife's been working from home for the last couple of months and I've been at home for since last Monday so hopefully exposure risk is low. We've just had a couple from our NCT course give birth at the same hospital we'll be at and they said the staff were incredible and they are really on top of things with regards to corona. We also had a breast feeding class on our NCT and have a boatload of people we can call but fingers crossed we won't need to. Interesting times ahead.

They have been promising increasing to 25,000 a day for a while now, so expect its a typo

And a reminder.
25,000/day = testing all NHS frontline staff in just over 3 weeks. Add in another 175,000 volunteers and that's another week.
25,000/day = testing UK population in 7 and a bit years.

Just walked in on my girlfriend in the middle of what can only be described as a "cat conference call". Send help.

We all had an email similar to the stuff he has posted on Twitter/ fakebook.
I imagine he is being over ruled by the government to keep it running. If the non essential use of the transport network doesn't stop, I guess they will enforce it at some point.
Drivers are having their start times staggered more to avoid contact as far as practically possible.

I spent the day conducting wellbeing surveys with staff over the phone, fucking draining... Just had two weeks off with burnout related illness, not the greatest job to be given on your first day back...
Looking from the outside in the UK is being touted as the next Spain in our media, heavy stuff, take care out there...
Noticeably less people out and about today... I had to go out for a ream of paper, had to visit three stores before I found one... Wasn't very happy about that...

I just got a reminder from my dentist that I've an appointment coming up. I'm due to have a tooth pulled so expecting some blood sweat and tears. (It's an elective rather than an emergency procedure.)

Are you me? My partner decided we'd use zoom for a video chat with her tech illiterate parents instead of skype like usual. Took 15 minutes of very patient coaching down the phone to just open skype like normal.

The TOC I work for are setting up Mess Rooms in rail carriages so that train crew can sit apart on breaks. Because we are running less trains the Control, where I work, is being thinned so we all sit a couple of metres apart. All staff with underlying conditions have all been sent home for at least 12weeks. Spare staff ring in at beginning off shift to check if required, if not, stay in phone contact. Guards do doors only, no revenue. The new diagrams have been a bastard though.
It's reasonably well thought out -

Amazing (if not a little frightening).
The drug gangs in Rio are enforcing the lockdown there.
