Good luck for the birth, is it the first? From what I have read the baby should be ok even if it gets corona and the mum can still breastfeed even if they have it, just wear a face mask so the baby doesn’t get virus overload and keep washing hands. If it’s the first I would be aware about the difficulties there may be with breastfeeding as this will be really important to combat any viruses. It would be good to get info on lactation consultants etc who you could phone up as midwifes don’t seem to have enough time to really help if you do have trouble. This is coming from my own experience which wasn’t great I’m sure you will be fine. I’m not due till August but I’m still worried about it.

Yeah first one, my wife's been working from home for the last couple of months and I've been at home for since last Monday so hopefully exposure risk is low. We've just had a couple from our NCT course give birth at the same hospital we'll be at and they said the staff were incredible and they are really on top of things with regards to corona. We also had a breast feeding class on our NCT and have a boatload of people we can call but fingers crossed we won't need to. Interesting times ahead.
No not virus related, everything is fine but she's a little bit small and there's a higher risk for smaller babies if they go over term so they like to induce at 39.
