Take my cinelli wheelset for this boss

Cheers but if I change the wheelset I'll be going for something a little different.

Speaking of different I'd really like to make this a little less chubby OTP crit bike. After trying a few slimmer modern stems (Thomson X2, Deda Superleggero) I've settled (for now) on an old GT steel stem which sits nicely on top of the Campag dust cap. Limits bar choice but I'm on the hunt for some wide low rise carbon Monkey bars or similar to replace the 620mm China crabons below.
Opinions?
Also, said 56cm Capo frameset now in the classifieds

Seatpost and saddle options.
Had hoped my steel Campag post and SLR would work well on this but the steel finish is too close to the brushed ali and doesn't look right IMO.
Instead I've nicked the carbon PMP post and acetoned Rapha test saddle of my 9 and think it suits the build better. I like the relative obscurity of the PMP post and the slim proportions of the saddle. Rail clamp area is a tad lardy but in this instance I quite like the agricultural look. I tried the black SLR on the PMP post but it didn't look right to me, i generally commute in jeans so I suspect the whiteness of the saddle would be quickly toned down. Just need a nicer slim seat clamp, looking at boring but subtle black Thomson, any other suggestions? Colour?

Tyre time.
I suspect this won't align with the general consensus but i think i prefer all black tyres over gum walls. The 28c Corsa's would be too big for HH so maybe a browner side wall (turbo cottons?) in 25c might work better. Maybe it's the combo of deep carbons and loud frame graphics but the sidewalls just look a tad naff to me. An Alpina fork is looking quite likely so I'll need to downsize the GP4000 to a true 25c, I have an all black de-branded Tufo that might work well.

Agree with.. For some builds brown walls are just right.
But generally I like a black wall.Looks very good with the contis imo

Black tyres for sure. Alpina will look great on there and you've hit that stem on the head perfectly IMO, really goes well with the steerer/HS cap. Looking good! T

Looking good, agree black tyres look better! Would you be able to find an ano seat clamp that'd match some ano chainring bolts for a bit of subtle colour?
-
• #110
Looking really good already. Alpina forks will be spot on and will fit a 28 too in my experience.

Cheers all, Once I shift the 56 I'll have some monies for an Alpina.
Black or silver S75 ring? A black one might be available to me if I'm willing to spend a bit more cash. Whether that's on the Omniums or some black 75 DD's remains a mystery.
@ltc likely gonna stick with black for the seat post collar but yes to Ano chainring bolts. Found someone with some red Sugino's with branding that would match the red on the Alpina Fork and stripes on the flag nicely. When the BB fails I'm thinking about either a gold or blue (for full Merica) Hope stainless unit.

Stem is on point!
Needs blk saddle & chainring though (and the fork decals hurt my eyes)

• #113
Cheers, 50/50 on chainring colour but the black bolts need to go. I kind of like the saddle white but hoping it picks up some colour soon.
Yes yes the fork, coming soon!

Premium+ forks looking much more at home on the 9, will get a pic up shortly.
In chain related news i couldn't bring myself to spend £60 on a ST chain so opted for my preferred KMC model. Felt guilty about stock piling but at £10 a pop including delivery and taxes couldn't really say no
And in less budget minded news this just showed up

Where did you bought the chain?

Caad9 is super nice

New fork day, 25c GP4000 fits, just.
Cheers to @Dick for sorting me with a Thomson SP clamp.
I'm going to change from risers to flat bars so whilst the steel stem is off i sorted a drop bar cockpit for possible (and distant) track duty.
As the sun's coming out i sorted the spinning bottle cage boss and mounted a cage for hydration duties. Also removed the badly applied frame sizing sticker as it was bugging me and yes @hma the fork is better, much better.

Funnily enough have a feeling that that seatpost clamp first featured on this:

Need the matching six13 now

Crikey. Nice but a bit pricey
Reading up on them tyre clearance could be a deal breaker, running either 25c GP4000's (27.5mm) or 28c GK's.
Nuts.
