not so straightforward unfortunately-immune function is impacted by malnutrition, so raises mortality rates for normal flu, reasonable to expect this would be more acute with Covid too. https://www.longdom.org/open-access/protein-energy-malnutrition-and-susceptibility-to-viral-infections-as-zika-and-influenza-viruses-2155-9600-1000489.pdf

Probably the safest i'll ever be on it due to the lack of traffic
Think you’re of the same mind as many using the roads at the moment and they have adjusted their driving accordingly (faster / more reckless)
I wouldn’t count on it being safer ;)

Thats a fair point, also the above point about the life expectancy being dragged down by high infant mortality.
Looking at causes of premature death in Somalia, looks like Malaria, Lower respiratory infections, Diarrheal diseases, protein-energy malnutrition and HIV/Aids make up around 50% of premature death. Lower respiratory infections were at 12.2%
Dying of cancer isn't even in the top 25 (less than 0.6%)Compared to Italy, top 5 is heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, colorectal cancer and diabetes.
Lower respiratory infections was at 1.5% -

UK not participating in the EU procurement scheme for medical equipment is absolutely infuriating. So reckless and so transparently ideological! How can they justify that?

Korean hand torn noodle soup.
Or for a super simple larder version:
Stock cube, sliced onion, garlic, diced potato, soy sauce and sesame oil, whatever other meat or veg you can spare. Add sujebi, simmer and eat.

I've always prided myself on the health of my studio plant. It's a barometer to my constant attendance. Hang in there buddy! I'll be back soon.

Imagine being that outlier doing viral shits for 5 weeks and having to explain to your employer that you're still in confinement...

Local tesco has very spaced out queue outside and 1 in 1 out. Got most stuff for a few days down the little local veggie shop, need a few extras though and hopefully 8for£9 beer.

So I piped up at work this morning voicing concerns about sharing trucks, distancing and generally not being fucking plague carriers around all our clients and families..
I nearly got a smack from the boss, have had my company van taken off me and sent home on unpaid leave.
I knew that one day I’d leave on moral grounds but didn’t see it coming like this. Currently unsure if I should just give notice and find a temp job or suck it up for a couple of weeks. -

Bastards!

Name and shame to your local MP on Twitter and see your boss crawling to you begging you to take it down in exchange for paid leave etc.
-
• #7396
what the fuck!
-
• #7397
Definitely get on to your local MP. Surely this is indefensible in the current circumstances?

• #7398
That's proper fucked up. Lawyer up, or whatever the equivalent is

You're not wrong.
Either way, i'll be looking out the window rather than going out on the bike. So disappointing.
