unplug the phone. Only take calls at a meeting time. Make people make meetings

These are all meetings... 8-12 per day, 30-60 minutes per meeting.

christ. that's ridiculous and unproductive

well go the other way. work out what you most productive hours of the day are, block them out in the calendar and then don't let people schedule you into meetings then.
