Did they? Only surprised because surely field hospitals are a "normal" part of crisis planning/strategy (depending on nature of said crisis).
Sister (doctor) a week ago said that London children's hospitals (I think GOS) were pulling child patients in from other London hospitals to free up spaces there, in the same breath as mentioning provision for army hospitals in London.
