Gove just made it clear, Sports Direct aren't essential and they have now u-turned on opening. He said walking, running and cycling were the only forms of exercise people really needed so wasn't sure the need for a sports equipment shop.
He actually did a good job clarifying a lot of examples, hopefully they will post it online.
What do people think about sports direct‘s refusal to close? Surely people could just order sport equipment online instead of putting both staff and customers at risk? Not that sports direct cares about its employees in normal times...
It really shouldn’t be up to businesses themselves to decide if they are essential or not.
