Because if you are unfortunate enough to crash - especially in a remote location - you are expecting an ambulance crew (who may not have adequate PPE) to favour you over someone who stayed at home or who has, like me, an underlying health condition who has a more pressing need of emergency care. I know ambulance crew who are unable to do full CPR - so chest compressions only - since they have inadequate PPE. We all have to change our behaviour.

If someone goes out for a ten hour bike ride alone, not interacting or being close to anyone, touching nothing but their bars then what difference does it make?
