Don't know if said before, but only 2 parts of Germany have fines up to 25'000€ for bigger groups.
I guess to get a 25'000€ fine you would have to be responsible for quite a big gathering. Also Angela Merkel is quarantineed because the doctor that gave her that pneumonia shot tested positive.
Stay safe everyone!

Does anything think we will go into lockdown?
I understand Mother's Day was a bit of a shit-show with everyone visiting tourist attractions, but surely we've learned our lesson? Surely?

I think they should declare all roads that aren't main roads pedestrian zones for the moment (with people living there allowed to drive through at say 10mph max). Imagine how nicely spaced out everybody could get about if we actually used the huge amount of road area that is currently mostly unused (see here).
I can't see that happening around my ends (echosix).. we have lunatics zooming around on supercharged bikes, fancy cars most of the day.. behaving quite irresponsibly until a fatal accident happens, or the police stop them, or the army shoot them,
In other news I took the missus for our last ever mcdonalds this lunchtime.. take out only, no one queuing applying the 2 metre rule.. Deliveroo riders all huddled in one spot.. safe to say that the quarterpounder with cheese was the worse ever, chips were cold, choc milkshake just about made it worth it.

Your take home pay will only be affected if you earn over £36k per annum and your company chooses to sit at the minimum.
Your employer will pay 100% of your salary to furlough you which means you can complete no work. They will then get a rebate of 80% from HMRC to aid their cashflow. In summary under £36k you should be ok if your employer has the liquidity to pay your 20%, over £36k you might take a pay cut or lose your job altogether.

So according to the NICE guidelines for accessing whether new hospital admissions get critical care or not, my son would be bottom of the priority list because he has learning disabilities.

Today is busier outside than yesterday in brighton. it's basically like a sunny bank holiday here. I can't go 2 streets walking the dog without being surrounded on all fronts by people making no effort to distance from each other. can also hear people who very clearly have the cough going past our kitchen window every couple of hours.

I can't see that in there. Can you point it out to me?
The link you posted basically just says that doctors will continue to use CFS to score patients for frailty/vulnerability.

Saw some wonderful pictures of Venice, clear water everywhere and dolphins spotted in the lagoon

I think the "algorithm" only applies to adults (from what I quickly read).
-

yep, the people who score 5 or more are classified as 'more frail' and moved down the priority list.
The CFS says anyone who is "Completely dependent for personal care, from whatever cause (physical or cognitive)", which includes many people with learning disabilities, gets a score of 7. -

instead of fining people they should just get put on a 'shit-list' and not allowed a spot on a ventilator if they end up needing it. Harsh but fair.

Yeah you got it....the street not covid 19 I hope.

while thats's good news for me(& my son), it does still screw over a lot of disabled adults

I think I know the answer to this question, but is there any hope that my mates wedding booked for end of October in Mallorca will actually take place?
-
• #6948
I'm not sure there is any point asking the question because nobody knows.
What I can say is that my friend who just booked a villa in Ibiza for a week for his 40th in September has cancelled it.

Yeah, wasn't really trying to do anything other than offer some basic reassurance to you guys. I'm very glad I'm not the one who has to/will have to make these types of decisions.
Can relate. She told me not to be so anal about it...
