Best cranks are the ones you do yourself. Recently bought a 16" Redline for the 4Yr old daughter. Rainbow unicorn was her colour choice for the bike. I rekon im on cue.

White primer is best to make the brighter colours pop, spray some cling film and roll the item in. Use multiple coats/colours.

I can't love anything where the sweep goes the wrong way. Improvements over the original TA Cyclotouriste rings were basically done once Stronglight made their pentagram ones

The Chater Lea crankset has a kind of steampunk look to it. I like the brass touches. Soon to appear on @PeteJChurchill 's Rivendell Sam Hillborne project.

I saw this thread pop up and wondered if it was because of that!
I won't lie, I have no regrets about the crankset. It's ludicrous, but beautiful. Although I hate to disappoint, but the one with the brass bits felt a bit much, so I've gone for the plain silver one.
