never had an issue, I just wore some cheap ones, doesn't need to be anything that special. worked great. even for a 200 mi motorway journey in -5.

Well the RT is a very tempting bike. It has quite a bit of extra weight in luxury items for a commute. They can be a fight parking when you are backing into small spaces on weird cambers.
-
• #15004
Yeah; I wouldn’t consider one if I didn’t have a dedicated parking space....
We’ll see. At this rate, there’s no point in swapping for a couple of months until I’m commuting again...

Hey, I like the first two of those! No experience of the Shiver.
(none of the VFR800 either actually but the 750s were absolutely peachy.)

750’s are magics, but the 800 non vtec strums a real spot for me. Not as much as the multi, but summat. It’s gotta do two up duties is the issue.

@ElephantBreath it lives ones again in times of strife!!
Got worried about a whistling sound till I realised it was the intake whine and I hadn’t heard it in yonks.Dead quiet through the range.

Looks rubbish. Swap you a pack of double deckers and a bag of wotsits for it

I was getting trail-bike envy so flipped the bars back upward and took it to the dirt tracks and the ridgeway

Met a guy with a 1100 factory Aprilia today that looked really nice and small.

My gen 2 RSV isn't the smallest and suits being muscled around as opposed to gently tipped in. Think if I rode an RSV4 it would be very dangerous for the bank account.

There's a minty one a neighbour is selling for a shade under £5k. Totally out of my price range. Totally want it. The sound alone is worth the price of admission.
@PhilDAS not until these go on and see it all feels.

I can confirm the sound never gets old, and mine's 2 cylinders short. Ooh when is the blingy fork going on?
-
• #15018
Oooof. All bikes should have gold upside down forks.
-
• #15020
Ktech stuff is the absolute business. That should be great!
-
• #15021
Agreed. I’m so glad that my old blade his pretend upside-downers. Mandatory for things that looks fast.

Somehow didn’t kill the GN125 doing some more byways today. Bloody hell, trial by fire, wish I had photos but one track was rutted so deep my pegs folded in and I had nowhere to go. Dry gravel routes were more like it, definitely gonna stick to the ridgeway in future.

I see a dirt bike in your future matey. Get some!

This was from a couple of weeks back.

Man it’s awfully tempting. I suppose I can never find one bike to rule them all, so a smaller capacity naughty bike would be great fun alongside a road bike. That, or an enduro with 70/30 tyres might be enough to keep me happy.
Just.... damn..... this looks tempting:
That's such a great idea.
Guess there's a risk of melting depending on your exhaust setup.
