In #firstworldproblems, I booked an ocado delivery for Tues when I was very ill at the beginning of the week. Just put the bare minimum random things in. Went to make it a proper shop this morning and the order is closed. Can't even see what I ordered so that will be quite a surprise.
Still, out of isolation on weds so will be able to go to the shops. -

Lots of major media using the term “lockdown”. Surely “lockdown” would be a curfew and restriction of movement like in France Italy etc ? Otherwise it’s just ... sorry guys Nando’s is closed....wtf ?

I'm going to be really fucked off if these cunts end up getting the parks closed and thus stop the more responsible social distances from being able to take their dogs for a twenty minute piss break.

Yep.

Not for me - with 2 young kids to look after and currently self-isolating in the house, it makes it soooo much easier to be able to open the back doors and let them charge around in the garden. I think I might have lost it by now if it was pissing it down.

A friend who lives in Leicestershire has said that's already started happening there :-/

How do you go about limiting numbers in parks though? Doesn’t seem fair to say that people can exercise their dogs, but not their kids.
I say that as someone with two dogs and no kids.

Yes of course. I meant for the wider population. If it was pissing down people wouldn't be overrunning the national trust /at the beach etc.

Coronavirus: London parks closing as areas urge tourists to stay away
"(Some parks are closing. Royal Parks just seem to be closing the cafes/kiosks but not closing completely yet, but they've said they may have to if people don't learn to behave properly.)

All of this is because people aren't following advise right?
And then not what's being told to them.So we'll have a proper curfew then?

Electric Avenue still overflowing with fresh produce, even without the market stalls. Brixton M&S showing none of the reported run on booze and even had some dried pasta.

Heard that a car boot sale went ahead in Gloucester today. In what realm where pubs and restaurants have closed does going to a mass gathering make any sense? I don’t care that these idiots deserve a Darwin award my concern is the effect this behaviour will have on medical and care staff.

Those demands make far to much sense to be taken up

Columbia Rd flower market was on today, and broadway market yesterday. WTAF!

When they (inevitably) close the park, if you see a slightly overweight middle-aged miserablist walking a staffie / whippet cross on Blackheath, say hi. (From a distance).
-

Nobody is saying you can't exercise your kids in the park. It's the people doing group activities that's the problem.
They stop you using the park by closing the park, as they are in some areas already.

Similarly, if you see slightly overweight middle aged wanker walking a black and white whippet, wave!

Regarding Boris talking about ignoring his own advice (on hand-shaking, contact with the self-isolating etc) in the very briefings in which he gives advice ...
... I think cheeky Bojo is playing good-cop to Whitty’s bad cop. It must be intolerable to watch for those conscientious and with the most at stake.

Germany banning more than two people meeting unless from the same household and they have a far lower deathrate than us

I get it, it's nice weather, it's spring etc, but at this stage people should know better.
Kind of wish there was just police/army going around tagging people ignoring advice with some kind of permanent tattoo so they won't get triaged into a ventilator spot should they need one, seems about the fairest thing that could happen in that circumstance.
Fannies.

That was my frustration among others though when Boris stating the incorrect advice on Friday's brieding, the Deputy CMO didn't correct him, so giving the benefit of the doubt didn't hear him or doesn't feel confident enough to challenge

Everybody orates better than BJ
It is unfortunate that the lockdown has coincided with the first decent weather for months.
