Progress. I can hook up the DDJ-200 as a line-in on a mixer channel, then use the mixer rec-out as normal, monitoring via the existing audio set up. I need to tweak some settings, but have just done this POC.
The greater issue is that it means mixing/recording upstairs at night (3 year old asleep), or when I'm unlikely to be interrupted for an hour (never). I will not be defeated, though.
From messing around with the DDJ more the past week, mixing with it and the djay software is becoming second nature and is a lot of fun, not to mention the access to all the records on Spotify.
PS, got a lead on this monster 300hr Spotify playlist that I need to start splintering out into different playlists by style for sets. Shout anything on there you’d want in and I’ll include: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6cO8wNKQSIlzpSJmKU9Asp?si=iEBZv5JcR2mu7u1R_oKzNQ
