We can just wait and see how the UK does compared to other nations and judge the current govt on that basis.
At the moment the verdict isn't great.

This view that we should have enacted all these draconian measures immediately is nonsense. We can't even stop educted people on here thinking it's ok to go for a low-risk bike ride.
Easing the country into social distancing might cause x deaths while going full tilt and then having it unravel might cause y deaths.
I say it again. I think they're doing an ok job in impossible circumstances. If everyone just listened to the advice we'd be better off.

I agree. The Tories have been pretty good in my view. The situation is almost impossible regardless of who is in power. And just saying things like we should be more like the Chinese or the Koreans ignores our ability to be like the Chinese or the Koreans.
