Master of Malt still posting things out. If you are out of Bourbon. Like I was.

Same but IPA. Also £18 Buffalo Trace.
-
• #3204
Où est le Buffalo Trace for £18?
-
• #3205
I have a bottle of wolfburn. Is helping.
-
• #3206
Is buffalo trace better than makers mark? Both reduced on Amazon I think
-
• #3207
Buffalo Trace for straight sippin, Makers for cocktails
-
• #3208
I have Makers and Woodford in the cupboard almost all the time (replaced not ignored)
Maybe I'll give Buffalo shelf space when I run low of MM next -
• #3209
Yeah Amazon. Buffalo < Bullet < Woodford imo but I'd not had it in a while.

Port Askaig 100 proof, good balance of sweat and smoke.

Just looked it up, sounds good. My OH likes peatier ones than those we have in at the mo so this'll be on the list for sure.

It's nice and as it's 58% you'll be thinking it'll need a decent amount of water but it'll wash out if you're not careful as it's quite delicate. I don't buy too many non age statements but this has been good value.

Boring choice is actually quite nice shocker:
Arran 10.
New bottle style and branding is mellow too. -

Just picked up a bottle of HP's Twisted Tattoo. Ignore the awful branding and design. It's a 16 year old finished in first fill rioja casks and it's very, very tasty.
-
• #3222
There's definitely some interesting design choices going on. What's the rioja influence like? I find red wine casks really hit and miss for finishing.
-
• #3223
It's got that good oak note you get from the better riojas and it works well with sweet and slight peatyness of HP. It's better than I expected.

There’s some bargains to be had in Tesco at the moment. Woodford is £27, Talisker Skye £26 and bog standard Glenfiddich is £25. Reader, I got one of each.

Port Askaig 100 proof
It was my OH's birthday yesterday and I was lining up ordering this for her but she jumped the gun and ordered Talisker 10 as a Peaty one. It's nice enough. I'm still tempted by the above though.
