• My wife is a trainee primary teacher in Hackney and word has come through that the plan in her school is to split all staff into two teams who work alternate weeks to teach children of key workers.

It feels like a guarantee that we will all get the virus in our family, and scuppers my plan of going to quite a remote spot in Scotland where we could have cut ourselves off from the world. Feeling quite gloomy this morning. C'est la vie.

  • Won't be any remote parts of Scotland at this rate. In Glasgow every camper van I've seen has been out and about filling up on tins of random stuff and looking like they are heading for the hills. Whole place will look like the busy parts of Skye in summer.
Currently have zero working cars, so will stay behind and probably have half the neighborhood to ourselves.

  • So fucking daft. Apart from it being total shit being riddled with flu in a cramped camper without home comforts, forcing remote hospitals/GPs to stretch already sparse rural resources to deal with a surge in urban evacuees all potentially spreading the virus is unforgivably short sighted and selfish.
