  • i reckon tacking the benefits system to get the money owed you will be more wearying than the whole virus thingy

    Totally

  • Seriously, the ignore button is your friend.

  • Hoping that the gov will extend some more help to self employed people.

At the moment, £94 per week but only if your partner is not in employment is not going to help many people.

  • Is that 94 via UC? Or is that something new?

  • Yes, no good for us, but I am not complaining as I can cover all bills.

After 16 months unemployed with the pity payment that is contributed based JSA for a while 6 months, my partner built his savings etc. back up. But he may end up with reduced hours as construction in several sites for the company he is working for is shutting down.

Who knows? Maybe they cannot roll back some of the positive changes made because people won't let them and don't buy the "cannot be done" BS anymore.

That is assuming though covid19 won't cripple the economy for years on end, at some point tax takings will have to go up and taxes too.

  • some absolute mince posted in the last hour or so as well

This Is the chat thread. That's Bantz

    Other threads for srs stuff

  • People still congregating in busy spaces saying ‘it’s the Dunkirk sprit’, need to understand that in this scenario they’re actually being the Luftwaffe.

    From Richard Osman

  • I don't mean to be contrary, but doesn't 80% seem pretty high for a population that will probably be spending less?
    '- Not trolling, it's a genuine question.

  • Government at 5pm: all pubs and clubs are gonna shut from tomorrow for 3months.

Everyone on my Facebook right now (7pm): off we go to the pub! Last night of freedom, woo hoo... get em in lads, etc

  • Brexit thread?

  • 80% of salary UP TO £2,500 (ish don't remember precise off my head)

  • Likewise, got invited to a meditation session from a guy whose bio says 'cycles up to forty miles at a time' as if that's virtuosic. No ta.

Do have a team game of CS:GO planned on Monday though.

  • Due to Corona they say

  • For anyone looking for a job or want to try their hand . Farms are now looking for seasonal crop pickers and they pay a living wage so the farming prog said on radio 4 this early am . Their is a agency you can sign up with who put you in contact with whats available in your area.

Just when my company want to close down and pretend it's nothing to do with COVID-19.

  • spent 3 hours of meetings playing wolfenstien and drinking room temperature vodak on mute.

    fuck em sky high.

  • National living wage (= legal minimum wage) or true living wage as defined by the Living Wage Foundation?

  • I think they waited until today to tell pubs, clubs, restaurants etc. to close because anything announced before the jobs package would have resulted in mass layoffs and a jobs crisis.

I was shocked at the scope of the announcements this evening, Sunak seems to have an empathy for people that’s sorely lacking in his party. BJ looked uncomfortable. I wonder who’s been driving policy behind the scenes?

  • YouTube algo not fucking about

  • It's nice that you're not letting this stuff change your life in any way.
