I don't like to harp on but it is a week to the day that the Valencia closed all the bars and restaurants. I can't see who in government didn't think it would be better to follow suit immediately.

From every projection I've seen, one day of delay is devastating to the propagation of cases. So seven?

Their original argument was that it wouldn't be taken seriously enough so people would stop locking themselves away. The longer they could leave a full shutdown the more likely people would adhere. Or something like that. It could've just been them buying time to think of a response.

It took 2 days for Spain to go from bars etc. shut to full legally enforced ban on leaving your home. So expect it on Sunday.
