  • I'd not really considered the day to day of people living with immuno-deficiencies before. Was talking to a colleague whose kid gets very ill very quickly and he said their front hallway is like a clean room entry; whenever he comes back from the shops or whatever, he strips off, clothes into the washing machine, has a shower and puts on clean clothes before going into the rest of his place. Thinking of that tires me out, let alone living it.

  • Meanwhile, in America:

  • I think this thread is probably doing more harm than good for a lot of people's mental health, to be honest. Conspiracy theories, unconfirmed rumours, and posts feeding a shared sense of panic. But there are also some great posts. Doesn't mean there isn't a lot of BS here.

SO MUCH bollocks chatted in this thread it's unreal. what gets me is the weird tone a lot of it's delivered in. a combination of deep gravitas, off-handedness, and complete confidence in the content.

the title should be changed to: COVID-19: hErE's WhAt i ReCk0n

  • Saw that. Prophylactic advice was killer.

    Ta everyone.

  • Yeah.

. From Monday, most British parents will be home-schooling their children. Not Johnson, of course – I imagine he doesn’t want to break his own pledge on class sizes. The prime minister keeps saying that the forthcoming test to determine whether you have coronavirus will be “as simple as a pregnancy test”, spaffing his sole area of expertise rather early in what is likely to be a long campaign.

  • Some "good news" - the critical incident at Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow was stepped down according to BBC just now.

  • Marine Hyde on fire

    and a dry cough ?

  • Same as any other thread then

  • Outside world report: Big M&S near me (hampstead) fine for everything except fresh vegies and cans. Vegie stand guys around the corner had everything in abundance. People generally being friendly.

  • I've been thinking about putting it on ignore but I just keep hitting refresh.

  • At risk of sounding like Daily Mail click bait ... SPOTTED a dozen mamils in my (barely open) local Italian cafe today tucking into a cosy, sweaty, post-ride lunch.

    WAbunchofCs.

I hope they’re the ones grappling for a JaguarLandrover 3d printed ventilator FFS.

  • I'll do it if you do

  • The govt has now ordered all pubs, restaurants, gyms, etc to close at end of shift today.

  • Sunak now on, Johnson (not in shot) sharpening large knife.

  • Mwah hahaha.
    Worth the read that one

  • Rishi using a lot of words to say fuck all

I heard unprecedented 4 times already

  • trump lite

  • Govt to cover up to 80% of furloughed employees wages. (£2500pcm max per person).

  • I've been thinking about putting it on ignore but I just keep hitting refresh.

Would be a shame to not have a mark all read button.
