It was creeping in yesterday. Agree. Time to knock this nonsense off.

Likewise, I was predicted an E in Maths because I fucked around with the guy I sat beside and we both ended up with As.
Would be bricking it if I was in school now -

Bikes are finally getting cleaned properly after not having the time or inclination over the winter.

I might shave my head for the first time, long over due and gives me some time to get used to it.

Thanks for the clarification! Probably true of me too, although I'd hope not in the same league as Tim Martin.

You and 50% of the kids in our year 11. We look for an improvement of two grades typically from mocks to GCSEs. Problem is, if guidance is to not to apply any consideration of this, and their final grade has to be represented by some written evidence then a lot of kids will get crappy grades, have to study over summer and resit in the new academic year.
Or it's all going to be manipulated into the best set of results ever, or... I just don't know what is going to happen.

I'm enjoying trying to grow a beard as I have a child face.
I've been rocking a fine beard since NY after @Cycliste, having claimed for 25 years that she's deeply pogonophobic, decided she like the Brommers fuzzy face look after all. I'm of course now worrying it's a festering petri dish of DeathZombiePlagueVirus.

Yeah but as far as I can tell - not as a direct result of having spectacular hair.

I’d expect exam-boards to do some data modelling.
I work the other end on Uni admissions, fun times ahead. -

Surely if the kids get all their predicted grades all top end universities will be super oversubscribed

Luckily University’s aren’t a market place....

I guess they're going to ask questions of schools that put forward significantly better grades than last year, and in theory we have already made predictions for each student, glad that it's not my decision what process to take ultimately!

People are driving like cunce round here, even more so than normal.
I have deffo noticed this- reckon it’s empty streets and anxiety manifesting itself. I really think they should crack down on irresponsible driving first and foremost if they want to relieve the strain on emergency services (if that’s the justification for a ban).

Here’s my two Penneth for exams etc
1 - reschedule all exams for September.
2 - postpone September intakes to 6th form and uni until January 2021. This allows for the exams to be marked and resits if necessary.
3 - for Jan 2021 6th form intake run the 6 terms over 5 longer terms.
4 - for Jan2021 uni intake the missed term could be absorbed into the 3 years of most courses, I didn’t attend myself but I hear there’s a lot of drinking in a couple of the terms so perhaps use one of those to catch-up :) -

Except it's not banned. They tried saying cycling for exercise was ok in France but too many people took the piss using training rides as cover for interacting with other people and visiting friends and family hence why they realised that they had to tighten the rules to 2km from home / 20 mins.
