Teachers going to make up GCSE and A level scores based on magic and best wishes. A-level classes are going to be busy next year!
At our school we have a fairly robust set of ongoing assessment and mock exam scores. Which is all well and good except it's well established that a lot of kids put minimal effort into the mock exams and rely on putting in a good performance in the exams after two months of revision... So some kids are screwed and others sitting pretty.
