• Exactly, and "But DIY is worse" or "Driving is worse" is meaningless. Individuals need to make their own choice. Using someone else's poor/selfish choice as justification for making your own poor/selfish choice is the opposite of social responsibility.

  • It’s not meaningless at this stage because the conversation applies to hypothetical, as yet unimposed sanctions and so is fair game. I’m just venting my personal frustration at not being able to graft at maintaining some workload if I can get from isolation to work isolation without harming anyone on a push bike. Obviously if the general or governmental consensus is that I shouldn’t do that I won’t... just like I don’t do lots of things which are deemed generally inappropriate.

    But while it’s conjecture I stand by the logic of my argument.

    It’s interesting to hear responses though. That’s why I raised it, because I’m conscious of not making the mistake of being burdensome or selfish.

  • I feel like riding to/from work is materially different from going out into Kent lanes for a couple of hours (i.e. should be okay, as long as other non-essential work is allowed)
