This is where we're at at this moment. All unclear. We are a specialist setting so it's case by case but the children we have can't be taught just anywhere so we need to be there. It's going to take some sorting. At this point it's very hard to plan as we're so early into it, even though it feels like people are already taking it all a lot less seriously.
I'm a teacher and have taken the day off today as I've had a tight chest and other cold symptoms the last few days and thought it was for the best just in case. Feels utterly ridiculous to be sat at home, because I'd normally be at work feeling like this. Everyone I've spoken to says it's the right thing to do, but work are being quite blasé about the whole thing. Spoke to the leadership about my predicament yesterday and they were all sporting colds and coughs themselves! We're actually staying open as it's an SEN setting, but we still have absolutely no idea what's happening. We don't count as keyworkers so looks like we won't be able to have our own kids at school either.
