  • HK are saving the government facilities for Wuhan repatriations, everyone else is tagged and has to isolate at home. There is a debate at the government level about repurposing hotels but that’s not happened yet.

  • Close contacts of known cases also get the ‘holiday camps’

For an idea of the facilities and remoteness look at Lady MacLehose Holiday Village https://g.co/kgs/UvjPR1

  • The pound is in free fall.

Perhaps our government is not handling this well.

  • Woohoo, fist pump.

  • People going on cruises may find themselves unable to leave the ship as their money will be so worthless in ports that they won’t be able to afford a coffee.

    1. My fist trip to the USA. $1.05 to the pound. It will get there and worse.

  • Ah yes, it was the holiday camps I was thinking of.

One of the hotels being used here is a love hotel!

  • Yay for me maybe? I earn RMB. Oh but all my investments are GBP. Fuckity fuck.

  • That’s ok if you will realise investments in the UK. For now it means that your savings are amplified when you buy sterling assets.

  • Any idea why the pound is in free fall? Would currency traders have information that we don’t or just a panic sell off?

  • Must be even worse in Norway then.

  • The UK's lack of industry means our recovery is likely to be slower than those countries who will have the types of trade that will be beneficial during a global slowdown and immediately after. Is my take on it.

The ECB announced their own £750B stimulus last night which will send markets in a tizzy again this morning.

  • Surely announcing we won’t amend the Brexit bill stuff makes no deal more likely...?
Reaction to that at this point when it was priced in?

  • It wasn't really an announcement. Boris had no choice but to answer the question like that, he needs the support of all his MPs right now.

  • If ever there was a time to try a no deal Brexit, now would be it.

  • AUD is doing worse :(

  • I don't know.

  • I can't see the erg pushing for it at this time.

  • Question to the masses:
In an alternate reality would Prime Minister Corbyn have handled this better or worse and why?

  • Me neither but I could see them saying no to an extension.

  • Worse.
Unfortunately, this kind of situation needs both a "strong" leader seen capable of making decisions alone and tough ones. And someone who unites everyone.

  • Then they run the risk of being seen as the cunts they are.

  • Can someone define continuous cough?

  • More than one a minute for an hour?
