You are social distancing. You are washing hands, wiping handles etc. And you head is where it needs to be - ahead of government advice (where we should all be frankly). It’s ok to trust yourself.

What actually is a ‘lock down’?
Indeed. If the possible London lock down still allows you to travel to and from work and to pop out at lunchtime to buy some lunch then for me, and I'd imagine many people, it'll mean carrying on exactly as before.

Coming from the UK? Should, in theory, be okay as you've got a job.

Yup. With my German partner.
Just aware that there's no hard and fast rule rn so it's probably up to the discretion of whoever looks at my passport. -

Lockdown, to me, means what they did in China. I suspect that its the wrong word to use.

carrying on exactly as before.
Social distancing has meant that I actually have more human contact than normal.

I was thinking of changing it to dry cough

Friend of mine who grew up in France but who has lived in London for the last 20 years made a run back to France over the last couple of days to stay with her sister in the South.
She got arrested twice en-route, then released after her story was validated. She had her two kids with her, and her attestation paperwork.

Current rules in central Europe are residents, family of residents/citizens but it changes pretty fast. As you obviously know, though, more papers is more betterer.

pop out at lunchtime to buy some lunch
That is funny, making up for
good manners and tradition
and forgetting humour ^^^^^
Packed lunch from home for the foreseeable.

When the Spanish government locked down Madrid didn’t the residents all disappear to the coast and move the problem there? Could we expect a mass exodus from London over the next 48 hours?

'Sore throat', of course, corresponds roughly to "Halsweh" (or "Halsschmerzen"). :)
Good luck in Germany. I doubt they're suspending immigration completely. Tougher measures may come soon, but you may just slip in before that happens.

It’s called Nook, homewares etc
Moving to Germany tomorrow morning for work, and to live. Been planned since November.
Have printed out my work contract, housing contract, Anmeldung appointment docs etc etc. Really hope I don't get turned away. Don't know what I'll do without this job.
