I'd rather err on the side of caution of not being responsible for the death of a couple dozen pensioners, and later be told it was a big over reaction I didn't need to do than think, I'm sure it's nothing and head out like some sort of, mildly chesty, harbinger of doom

Exactly.

• #79
Did you get tested?
The sore joints and limbs was only mild in my case and for no more than 2 days if that. Temperature was less than for the "proper flue" where you're in bed for 4-5 days and can't eat/drink/think/work. -

Got tested at work. I'm in Sweden and here they don't test generally anymore (same as UK right?) but for hospital staff with symptoms they will.
-
• #81
What kind of test is it? Swab or blood?
-
• #82
Where can you get tested? Id like to find out if I'm definitely infected. Family are in Somerset and I'm feeling a bit shit, don't want to stay in London by myself if all I have is Rhinovirus/seasonal cold.
-
• #83
Ah, sorry, saw this....
-
• #84
Swab. Nose and throat.
-
• #85
Well, I'm a confirmed case now.
Wow ok. Hope you recover quickly. Keep us updated.

My only claim to fame so far. Wife is a bit stressed out and the kids can't seem to believe it, they've been worried/excited about corona since new year's from all the talk in school and online.
-
• #87
Do you all have it?
Any idea how you got it?

Any idea how you got it?
Clearly been eating bats

No just me atm but I've only had symptoms since yesterday morning which is when I got tested. Incubation period seems to be 2-10 days so time will tell. I caught it either in France or on the plane back, was there for work last week.

Not again!

Panic buying has made it hard to get pangolins at the moment.

I have been asked to self-isolate. Not massively excited about that.
Currently oddly short of breath on minimal exertion. Otherwise- it feels like a really terrible sore throat. I don't have that bad a cough.I remain unconvinced that it is Covid.

"They" say you can go out and exercise provided you keep a bit of distance between you and other people.
That obviously won't be the case anymore if they lockdown London completely in the very near future.
-
• #94
No test despite you being a medical professional?
-
• #95
As per Chris Whitty- we're not there yet.
I won't lie and say its not infuriating, but it is what it is.
I'm not sure quite how they're doing the rapid testing in SK but it is a complicated test process. -
• #96
SK
?
-
• #97
South Korea, presumably.
-
• #98
Yes, sorry- SK for me means South Korea, but I can see the confusion with Slovakia.
What is the correct country code? -
• #99
KR, according to ISO
-
• #100
And World Health Organisation the hell is ISO?
Sorry to hear that. How did you get tested?
