Is it socially acceptable to punch someone who says “I’m supposed to be in self isolation”
No, you should avoid contact and stay a metre or two away. Try using a long pole or possibly a pike.

Eastenders is cancelled. Britain is officially over.
Also, met my self-isolating neighbour as she popped out for a pilates class this morning - 'the gym will close soon and I'd better get my money's worth'.

Latest from Leen Vervaeke as she emerges from her second quarantine in China (first in Wuhan, second on return to Beijing):
She reports on strict ongoing mass testing n tracing but also on what she describes as resurgent optimism as some restaurants reopen, but adds that members of the public keep banging on about how the forrins are the weak link in efforts to prevent a second wave from occurring.

True that.
And we haven't seen what Brexit will really look like yet.
I'll just quote my old mum bless her : "nothing good happens on a leap year".
We've all been warned.Stay safe everyone.

I went out yesterday and came back sniffly with a dry, itchy throat. I'm fine now so I assume my hayfever is kicking off.

If it makes you feel better, every time I'm on the turbo I'm sure the neighbours think I'm dying with all the forced breathing, coughing, nose blowing, etc.

Was just in Lewisham Tesco. People wandering around with masks or scarfs over their mouths.
Watched with delight as a cashier refused to sell an entire case of monster munch to somebody who was stockpiling high fat snack food. Looked like she had cleared them out of cheese strings too although didn't stick around to see whether they sold her those
Lots of vegetables, potatoes, bread, frozen veg. No toothpaste, mouthwash or paracetamol

Says a lot about British dietary preferences... Panic buying monster munch over staple, nutritious food.

My girlfriend is going to try to travel up here ASAP. Being squished together in a 35m² flat might not be as nice as we hope though. But the alternative is not seeing each other for months.
If the quarantine goes on for a more than a few weeks (which it 100% will) this'll be the longest continuous period of time we've spent together in 7 years. A real trial by fire

At my Tesco this morning the till system won't allow you to buy multiple items of whatever they deem to be essentail. So the till area has become the defacto storage point for the confiscated pasta, toilet roll and cleaning stuff.
It's carnage.
