• Nice one, Planet X have them dirt cheap too.

  • Reminds me of the US space pen vs the Russian pencil. I just draw round the old cleat with a sharpie.

  • Annoyed to find that D4 has some 26" rear rim brake wheels that take a cassette (not a freewheel) for £38.

Couldn't find them on the website and thought I was saving a tenner buy buying a second hand wheel off the bay of dreams for £35 all in.

  • Got to be said, the Forclaz kit is good. This

is a great winter layer, not just for £20, just really good. Wish they did it in a bright colour or made it reversible.
And I've spend about 2 weeks in one base layer Ts of these with no more than a rinse in a fountain, stayed comfy and non-smelly. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/m-wool-ts-travel100-blue-id_8492920.html

  • Problem is that pencils create conductive dust and dust is hard to deal with in microgravity.

And for cleats, sharpies don't work so well on black soles.

    Wax crayon.

  • Have ordered some of the Kiprun kids "Grip" running shoes (closest I could find to trail shoes) for 10yo daughter's return to Parkrun this weekend (our local one is very muddy outside of summer) and her other trainers are bright white. Will report back on grip levels.

  • Saw some bibs with the Cytech ‘Rapha’ pad in them for £50 today. The shoes look like Specialized are from the same production line.

Very good, MiniGB has been enjoying running them through the thick gloopy mud at Wimbledon Common parkrun.

Also got some Forclaz fleece trekking gloves which I'll use for skiing, and bought MiniGB a Kalenji waterproof jacket (8505290) which is an amazing jacket for £15.

Didn't get time to dig around for replacement cycling shorts, bamboozled by the sizing based on hip size and not waist size.

Tried to find some wafer thin running gloves but the ones on show were all too thick and I couldn't even fit into the 2XXL pair properly (despite fitting in to the XL versions of the trekking gloves fine). Odd.

  • My Btwin carbon sole shoes are a delight to wear. Or at least they were when I used to ride bikes.

Have you tried their basic silk liners? I find they are perfect for running in UK winters.

  • Picked up a pair of the 900 winter socks with merino and primaloft and am impressed. They have the looped spongy cushioning on the top of the foot and the front of your shin to trap air rather than on the sole where you would find it in a running sock.

  • The pictures for the red version of the t shirt are amazing.

  • are the decathlon branded cassettes decent? I've heard the chains are kmc made so cassettes might also be decent?

  • Interesting! I got some canti straddles recently which were SRAM under the packaging.

Would be good to find out.
