Out of academic interest. Has anyone done a singlespeed or fixed gear conversion or upgrade with one of those terrible cheap high-tensile steel bikes / BSOs from the likes of Ammaco, Probike, Professional et al? Often inherited from former flatmates or relatives who never ride them.
Obviously a bad idea, which means someone must have done it (see hacks/bodges thread). Curious to see any such projects — and the ensuing carnage.
