I was just days away from packing up my smart trainer - which is deployed when needed in the kitchen, which is the only hard floor with enough space for it in the house - as we are due to have extensive building works start on Monday. As far as the conversation has gone with the builder, he's still ready to start on Monday. I'd trust him to work in a phased way anyway, so he's not going to immediately start ripping the oven and washing machine, and will keep everything reasonably tidy - but what are the chances that any further Gov restrictions take everything out of both our hands? Am I going to order and pay for a skip, steel beams or an Ikea kitchen that I don't see for months or at all? Will I need the money I am spending on this to make mortgage payments when we're both out of a job, or just to pay the wasteland warriors not to eat us? Waiting for the builder to suggest a course of action, and see if it becomes literally impossible anyway by Monday.
But yes, my point is, if it doesn't happen then I will be rinsing the turbo.
