For the c. 80% of the population who aren't Vitamin D deficient, yes, it is absolutely irrelevant. For the remainder, no, Vitamin D supplements might help. But as @Chalfie correctly notes, that doesn't make it a panacea which makes all problems go away.
Edit: I'm responding in this way because there have been a number of interactions in the last day that seem to suggest people on here are not listening / reading. Like "the cmonsays let all young people get it and then care for elderly"
