    @freddo I have no idea. It was my grandfather's and my aunt had it since he passed. She had the crystal replaced but AFAIK nothing else was done to it at that time. I'm a bit annoyed with myself that I'm the one who somehow broke it.

  • Doubt you’ve done anything to break it, all mechanical watches need attention from time to time, especially old ones. It’s probably just seized up because the lubricant’s dried out. A watchmaker should be able to sort it, unless there’s some unobtainable part that’s failed and needs replacing.
