There will be no point bickering about whether the government response is suitable or not. I reckon they'll u turn by Monday.

The only places that are allowed to be open in Belgium are the Frite shops. I like their thinking.

Not been for a while, would love to see some sort of quinoa riot in there though, I am out of their cereal which is without a doubt the best I’ve ever had, need to get back ASAP.

I do understand the principle behind the British approach but I don't understand
how they want to delay it until summer with just telling people to self isolate if they think they have it. To delay it there has to be a different approach than just letting it spread. -

I think the principle is get some in ahead of the peak then delay.
That NYT report video worries me that we and Europe may be a long way off where we need to be! -

but how do we control it only spreads to the strong ones? In Italy it hit the elderly first.

Our daughters school in Merton (Mitcham) texted today to say that a member of reception/nursery staff has been isolated, and that nursery and reception are being deep cleaned before being reopened some point on Monday.

It was all very polite, however i've never seen the shelves stripped back like they were today, even pre-Christmas which is similar but much less polite.

Spoke to my girl friends sister today at lunch, she went skiing in st anton in early February, couple of days after arriving she had all the symptoms and couldn’t ski for a few days, visited the dr who said it was a virus but wasn’t tested, there’s a good chance she had it I think, I imagine this is pretty common across europe.

Frite shops? Like the Brussels Dungeons?
So Italy didn’t go far enough early enough...?
Nor has the rest of Europe and by default certainly not the U.K.
Can we realistically copy the China model?
How do we transition out the other end? What are the risks?
I’m not expecting answers but those are questions that it raises.
