Lol. Yeah it does, but I have the pedal threader and ws able to do a good crank on the one side, but the insert thing I didn't have to do. However, the insert thing is a bit of a faff. However, I've got another sram x1 rival crank where the pedals have seized and pretty sure if I ever get the pedals out then I'll need to retap.

You can also buy threaded inserts which may be slightly more straightforward than helicoils.
All of it seems like a faff tho tbh.
