• Sintered pads, at least Hope's, seem to last incredibly long. In 2018 I put new pads for the Northcape-Tarifa, 7400km with lots of mountains and rain on a loaded bike, and after that continued to use those pads through slushy nordic winter(though on flat terrain mostly), a gravel race that wore out a chain in a single day (usually I get more like 2000 km out of a chain) among other things, only changed them before the TCR next summer. So like 20k km.

    Sounds like you need to do a ride where you go through a set of pads by mid ride.

    Sintered FTW these days, they’re much more resilient.
