I'm not sure if its just the mud paste here that wears everything out - I have tended to ride through some fairly atrocious weather - had to change both sets of pads on one ride - only had 1 spare and had to buy some whilst out.
Got a cadence sensor recently so will look and see if I'm mashing a big gear but I doubt it, I'm probably not great at keeping an optimum chain line. Re lubing - using a wet lube (finish line I think) and dropping per link and cleaning off excess.
I'm usually all for buying more bike bits but it is frustrating..put in a bulk order of pads.
