    From another very fussy vegan (no fruit; very specific about veg; nothing remotely salad-like; nothing raw) all things mock-meat are the stuff of dreams :)

    If you've got a Polish shop anywhere nearby, I'd recommend trying to pick up some dried soy cutlets (kotlety sojowe) - boil them up with some stock/herbs/spices for c.10 mins, coat them in flour/breadcrumbs and fry them.

    If I’m choosing not to eat sausages I don’t want something that trying to be one!

  • Just try them? Before making an arbitrary rule on not eating them. You might find it might make your change more sustainable when a craving hits. Sausage and mash was a fave before i went veggie, still is now. Same with spagbol, chilli etc etc

    You're choosing to opt out of products made from bits of animals, not sausages though.. right? Unless you're thinking vegan purely for health reasons.
