Poorly thought out SKX mod vibes upon first glance.

Is there a forum approved one stop shop for second hand Omegas? Getting married and looking for a nice older omega to wear.
Edit: eBay is full of them but no indication if they are real and in a reasonable condition

Anyone got an opinion on the newer Breitling Superocean?

My manual wind watch is not rewinding this morning. Have I messed the mainspring up?
-
• #42907
Yeah I don’t like it aesthetically - busy dial, second hand is a no from me, date window doesn’t line up with marker, super ocean text looks off bc of the long trail on the Street,

It’s just “ok” .
Buy a Black Bay .
Or a preowned omega . -

I think the dial looks busier in that ultra-closeup photo. It looks better on the wrist.

But I know what you mean. -

I hate the hour hand on the black bay. I prefer how the Pelagos looks but it's too chunky for me. Omega's just don't do it for me. I like this Superocean partly because it comes in 42mm which apparently fits more like a 40mm. Next time I'm in Westfield I'll see about trying some on.

Well pm me when you have decided . We are a Breitling stockist so I’m sure I can “help” what with forum discounts and all.

Needs bigger numbers

I wouldn’t go fishing on eBay for an Omega unless you’d really done your homework, lots of crap. Ejay, Black Bough or Omega Forums is a good starting point.
@panic I find it strange how many modern Longines miss the mark, they and Omega were so good back in the 50s and 60s at getting the proportions of the dial, case and hands perfect.

i like longines, really do but its as if every single model has a flaw or something that bugs me. the heritage with the small seconds dial, the new one has the line going through the G, my favourite is probably the Big eye chrono

Shuck The Oyster actually have another one for sale at the moment (ref 5045), 37mm which for the era is big. €5K is top whack dollar though.

Put some Mercedes hands on it
The ETA ones should be easy to get hold of.

Get what you mean by the small hand, especially the lack of detail on the dials.
I’m skeptical as they claim 1,000 metres (not that I will ever even go 50 metres), as I have seen other watches failed even with the escape valve.

I actually quite like the smaller Superocean (the 42 I mean, not the 36). Was not expecting to, but it’s got a good look to it, nice numerals (especially on the bezel), not overly derivative of anything else, and seemed well enough made for the price.

Slept on it ..
Went for a ride
Still havent rung them .
I wore by old Tudor today and wondered if I really was that much different.
I can convince myself it is , and convince myself it isn’t

Thanks .
I did enquire at the Winchester shop .
They also have a black bay black @-%30 which is also a bargain . -

On a separate note .
I’ve been selling some rapha bits as I’ve lost weight 96kg to a more incline friendly 82kg and was really surprised to find a 2 watches I hadn’t worn in 3-6 months were loose and one needed a whole link out .
Who’d have thought that one had ‘fat’ in your wrists ?
Don't think black hands do it favours in this regard
