• Even if you pay them they can ignore you.

    Seems fairly low risk with eBay's money back guarantee, though leaves no room for any negation when I go to collect - not a dick move, they're 50 year old speakers so may well have issues not visible / audible on the eBay listing.

    If you were unsure of the condition then inspecting them before bidding or clarifying with the seller is usually the way this works. If you bid and win on incomplete information...well that's your bad, or a calculated gamble that's priced in. Sounds like it is.

  • Huh OK. I guess your chances of getting hold of these look slim then. You could try contacting eBay and see what they say. In theory the seller should honour the sale but there's little repercussion if they don't.

  • Were your messages after you won or before?
    If before, they may have responded but it would have been blocked. ebay won't allow any contact details to be shared unless you have completed a transaction with someone. Very annoying in these situations.
    You can also contact ebay and request the sellers phone number on the basis that they haven't responded to messages.
