So the Melbourne F1 is still going ahead ... 100k people in one place. Some teams already needed to get tested ... This doesn't bode well.

Anyone travelling to US in the next four weeks?
Yep and fuck.

I get a seat on that train every day but it was definitely quieter than normal...

I work as a postman here in the UK, and Royal Mail didn’t say anything. I’m quite concerned, as each postman has contact with good few hundred letters every day. And in our office, there’s at least 150 people working and I know a good few that don’t wash their hands too often...

Local SE London trains busy but a bit quieter than normal. Gridlock on the south circular - not unusual but maybe more people driving to work to avoid public transport?
I think fewer sniffles on the train than usual too. -

I think somehow slightly less.

haha all good, in Europe for a ski break as ever. SF is good, like living over there. Not as much riding as I probably should do... got lazy living 15min walk to work!
Hows things back in the uk?

Concerned for yourself or how rapidly the virus could spread through the mail system?
If yourself then not touching your face and washing/sanitiser-ing your hands should see you alright no?
I had a bit of a think about how likely it was I bring it in on the packaging of stuff bought at the supermarket but I decided that worrying about that and/or washing all the shopping was a rabbit hole I didn’t want to go down.

Obviously concerned about how quickly it could spread via the mail system.
When it comes to me, I don’t like the fact, that we don’t have clear guidelines as what to do if you think you might be infected. I travel quite a bit, and so does my partner. -

Supposed to be flying to the South of France tomorrow to see my partner's parents. Increasingly feeling like this is not a sensible thing to do. There are very few reported corona cases in that whole region, but who knows what the situation will look like at the end of next week. The prospect of importing it into that area - and into the house of two elderly people - doesn't seem great either. At the same time, I have zero faith that the government here have a handle on this (football matches? sure, go right ahead!) and maybe being out of here and in rural france is a better prospect. Fuck knows.

A bit more on people being pricks. It got to gf's small town in southern Italy from a shop owner who was visiting the north, fled the lockdown and went back to work with symptoms.
gf was in the shop on Friday, and is really concerned there's a risk, however small, that she could have spread it to her father (mid-80s, recent stroke, early-stages of dementia).

I said in the football thread, once players inevitably start getting infected there's no way the season can carry on. Fascinating to see what happens.
Tunnel cam from Monday shows Grealish and Mings sharing a bottle of water just before they went out. Admirable attempt to end the season early...

This is still worrying me too.

Grealish and Mings
I'd forgotten about that end of the table. Voiding the season would be fantastic from a Liverpool point of view, but would it also mean that Villa would escape relegation? I'm torn.

Could be F1 chat
Tube is very quiet for the morning peak, no chance of sorting our pay deal if passenger numbers keep falling like this.
