You can export the contents by clicking the three dots on next to the name of the calendar under 'My calendars' –> Settings and sharing –> Export calendar. Then you can import it into the Mac calendar and either copy and paste events into existing calendars, or merge by right clicking the newly-imported calendar in the sidebar and choosing one to merge into.

Is there a way to completely merge the contents of a google calendar with an existing macOS calendar?
Or import the contents of the google calendar?
So not really import the google one as one of many calendars, but get it's contents into the mac one.
In the end I will not be using the google calendar anymore (like to cut all ties if you will) - I just like to have the mac one from now on to use it on MacBook and iPhone.
I would love to do this without any additional / shit software.
